Masterworks: Prologue

The Sonser Academy of the Arts was a highly prestigious art school located in the Eastern United States.  It was a place where talented young students came to further their artistic abilities and mature as artists and as people.  All forms of art were accepted--paintings, both traditional and digital, sculptures, literature, the performing arts and so many more.  Every year, thousands of students applied, in high hopes of being accepted.  However, only a small portion were actually permitted in.  To be accepted was a tremendous honor, one that was not to be taken lightly.  It not only meant that you had a great amount of potential, but also that you as an artist, writer, or performer held something special, something that held a part of the administrators' memory and captured their attention.
This year in particular was a very special year for Sonser.  The new crop of students were especially gifted.  One of these students was a calm, laidback boy of eighteen years with a strong love of storytelling.  Another was a confident, strong-hearted girl, whose goals were set high, and her determination higher.  There was another boy with a handsome face and an impish smile, whose eyes were searching for the role that would finally lead him to fame.  Then, there was a shy, soft-spoken girl, who's art spoke out more for her than her words ever could.  And finally, there was a girl of a wild spirit, whose dreams of becoming a world-renowned artist soared higher than mountaintops.
These students, along with many others, were ready to make an impact on not only Sonser, but on the world as well.  And as different as these students were, they all had one thing in common: this school would be their first chance to leave their mark on the world and leave their mark they will.
